Like many lucky children, I had dogs in my life. Blackie, Scampi, Boxcar--each dog was unique, lovable, and important to me. Dogs remain a special source of joy in my life.
The last dog I had, Boxcar, was a shepherd-collie-chow mix puppy I was given by a total stranger. Boxcar and I were inseparable for 16 years. Dogless in recent years, I perk up when I unexpectedly see a dog in a park, on the sidewalk, in a friend's home. I love dogs. The feeling is usually mutual. My dog photography business, created in late 2003, was created in large part to satisfy my itch to spend time around dogs.
